Chartering

ARKON offers commercial chartering management which includes individual consulting, safety and careful handling of ships and cargo, voyage coordination and handling, verification of shipping documents, permanent contact to owners and their vessels, consulting for P&l and legal matters as well as freight collecting.

Logistic

With more than 50 vessels we sail the coasts of Europe as well as North- and West Africa regulary. More than 600 sqare metres deck space per vessel are available for easy and bulky goods, e.g. tanks or blades, which can quickly be shipped "en route" in a cheap way. The new service shall relieve the road traffic and result into less carbon dioxide emissions.

               The service contains four ranges:

               - Antwerpen-Amsterdam / UK-Irland
               - Northfrance /La Coruna / Portugal
               - Westmed / Italy / Adria / Eastmed
               - Adria / Eastmed / Black Sea

Container Chartering

ARKON is today as exclusive Broker responsible for about 50 modern container vessels. The fleet is in the sizes from 300 up to 1200 TEU, whereof the main part is in the segment 425 to 750 TEU at 14ts. These ships make ARKON to an important partner for Feeder services worldwide. Most of the Container vessels are designed with Highest Iceclass, gear or for the loading 45ft Containers.
At present about 15 additional container newbuildings are ordered to strenght ARKON's position in this segment even further.

Bulk Chartering

By offering a fleet of about 40 modern minibulkers in sizes of 3/4500dwat, mainly trading within Continental waters and the Mediterranean, ARKON has become a very important partner for the local and European Industry. This success story has encouraged ARKON's principals to take further future commitments within this segment. Until the year 2010, further newbuildings will join this venture.

Heavy Lift / Project Chartering

Today's principals of Arkon Haren/Hamburg and Intermarine enjoying an excellent cooperation for about 19 years. Both have grown together over the years. Since 2000, ARKON have delivered 14 well designed heavy lift vessels to Intermarine in the size of 8OOOdwat with max lifting capacities of 400mt and 500mt. Another series of 4x 10OOOdwat with 500mt and 4 x 12000dwt with 800ml lifting capacity will be delivered to Intermarine's worldwide services within the next 2 years.

Sale & Purchase

For its exclusive principals ARKON is enthrusted as well with the sale and purchase of their tonnage.

Newbuildings

By the request of the partners and principals, since June 2007 ARKON has offered the development and management of newbuilding projects by using a strong network of ship designers, shipyards, shipowners and financing houses to create tailor-made solutions for the modern and future shipping market.

Finance Management and Controlling

Well planned, transparent processes, accurate documentation and registration is the basis for success and confidence. This tool includes many services such as freight collection, verification of disbursements accounts, bunkering, etc. ARKON has its own software designers. Exclusive principals can retrieve their vessels operation results online at any time.
